Integrating buildings into the natural mountain environment with pure design skills has been a new experiment to achieve the mutual complement of building and mountain landscape. The value of the landscape is maximized through the multiple landscape-viewing platforms suspended from the building to have holistic views of the river scenery and smartly dealt with the elevation difference of rocks at a higher position. The “yacht” building shaped by several simple lines gives the impression of diving in the Jialing River and huge visual impact. Modern technologies are adopted to interpret the traditional dock culture of Chongqing city and awakens the city’s spirit.
