CHANGZHOU BRC·GAEA

As a benchmark for housing projects in the Yangtze River Delta, this project is located in the riverside of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Its house type is evolved from the self-developed spatial model patent of Do Design Group, breaking down the habitual thinking of traditional housing and space; instead, it is well-arranged by using the combination of 3D modules, letting the planting terraces stagger every three layers so as to enjoy a blend of indoor and outdoor landscapes, integrating the natural scenery of the Grand Canal into everyday life of the residents. The demonstration plot gives way to its original landscape of the ground, but it plays a significant role in enhancing urban interface, becoming “the eye of the Grand Canal” to refresh the concept of habitation.
