THE JADE PALACE

The project site is adjacent to Dongshan Park, Cuckoo Lake Park and the Haining Campus of Zhejiang University, so how to fully plan the functions of the site, to take in the wind of the landscape and the charm of humanity, became the original point of consideration for the architects. The design retains the traditional decorative details such as openwork balustrades and auspicious clouds, while the façade texture combines the return pattern and stone lines, and refines the traditional flying eaves of Jiangnan into a more modern aesthetic eave form. With a neutral and calm layout and a measured design, the building aims to present a jade-like warm and natural architectural texture, thus giving more value and humanistic care to the residence and promoting further understanding and dialogue between people and the city and humanistic environment.
