BAONENG FIRST SPACE

Baoneng Center is located in Sungang District, Shenzhen, with a total area of 800,000 square meters. It has a gigantic mass with a 300m high Grade A office, a 25-story apartment, and an 11-level retail and exhibition center—the so-called “Baoneng First Space” mall with a 350,000 sqm retail area. The construction of affordable luxury home life as the core, and exhibitions and conferences as the link, will build a world home furnishing cultural experience center positioned as a “global benchmark city” in Shenzhen. The main challenge is integrating the 447-meter-long, 11-story Giant into this district. Named as “The Vibrant Jewelry Box,” the structure takes on the form of horizontally stacked and staggered bars and is embellished with distinct textures on the facade. The complex is unified by concave-convex spaces that grant an oppressing visual sensation while the stacked bars create visible breaks on the structure.
