TISHMAN SPEYER NEW JIANGWAN CITY MIXED – USE PROJECT

The project aims to become the gateway and center of Jiangwan New Town, and the sub-center of Shanghai. It focuses on creating a greener, healthier, and more humanized urban environment. The high-density surroundings of the site necessitated the creation of a sheltered and private space like a garden or inner courtyard. Its walkway was designed closer to the landscape and away from the city road, making the complete perspective of a whole site possible for pedestrians, based on maximum rationality and effectiveness. Each building on the site enjoys a long view of the inner courtyard, which becomes a grand stage for various activities.
