GUANGZHOU SOUTH STATION CORE AREA SITE DESIGN PLAN AND PARCEL PLANNING CONDITION REFINEMENT
As the busiest railway station in China and an important transportation hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), the Guangzhou South Railway Station can quickly connect 2+9 cities in the region by 4 high-speed railways and 3 intercity lines. SOM reimagined an existing framework plan for this area and transformed it into the most desirable urban district in the Great Bay Area, creating a new core for the Guangfo Integration Zone. The master plan focuses on pedestrian-oriented, mixed-use TOD principles.
