SHANGHAI LINGANG NEW AREA FINANCIAL BAY PHASE 2 URBAN DESIGN

Financial Bay East Expansion Area is located in the city center area of Shanghai Free Trade Zone Lingang New Area, east of the Modern Service Industry Opening-up Area. The project includes a 356-hectare area vision plan, and urban design and parcel guidelines for the 56-hectare key area in the 1st Ring Belt. The urban design positions the project as a financial mixed-use area that represents Lingang’s new character, and creates a dense mid-rise urban district with vibrant, intriguing and distinct urban spaces. Considering the regional skyline guidelines and height limits for the site area, and the existing and planned markers in each development petals along the lake, the project creates a “Financial Innovation Valley” to create distinct identity. Headquarters buildings and towers form a strong frontage along the lake and along the Central Valley, to establish a memorable lakes frontage, frame the Central Valley, and maximize views out to the lake and the 2nd Ring Park.
