MONTROUGE ACADEMY

Montrouge Academy is a 33,000 sqm mixed-use complex of offices and 1,100 sqm of housing located in Montrouge, in the south of Paris. The project contributes to the architectural and urban requalification of this area. The proposed plan, simple and effective,is organized around a large central patio withtrees. The facades, aligned with the streets, are composed according to a double-level playthat changes the buildings’ scale perception.The alternating play of the oblique faces of the mullions that punctuate the split floors generatesa unique kinetic effect. A large transparent reception hall, organized on two levels, provides a link between the urban space and the central garden.The office floors, which also cross betweenthe street and the garden, are naturally and abundantly lit and provide total flexibility in the layout.
