The LEED & WELL Gold certified Standard Chartered Bank Shanghai Headquarters provides an exclusive experience for employees and visitors. The design embodies a journey through the diverse facets of Shanghai, expressing the Bank’s values of “Here for good moments.” The project spans five meticulously designed floors, revitalizing the Bank’s operations with a blend of heritage and innovation. The design journey captures Shanghai’s vibrant contrasts, from the intricate alleys of Longtang (L16) to the dynamic Huangpu Promenade (L18), showcasing contemporary architectural prowess (L25), and culminating in serene views of the Shanghai skyline (L28). Embracing the Bank’s “Future of Work Now” vision and “One Shanghai Bank” strategy, the project optimizes space by releasing excess capacity and adopting a hybrid work model during the Shanghai COVID lockdown, achieving “Twice the Experience, Half the Space.”, striking a balance between individual work, collaboration, and social spaces.
