The Bandao Town Resort Apartment

The Bandao Town Resort Apartment is located in the northwest area of the Hualian Jinxian Bay International Tourism Resort, with a gross floor area of about 170,000 m2 and a floor area ratio of 0.35.
Sited in a mountainous area, the planned plot has complicated topographical conditions and diversified landscape resources. In the planning, the architects fully leveraged the unique ecological resources along the trend of the slope, avoiding large area of excavations and minimizing earthwork wherever possible. The architects adopted an innovative concept of drawer architecture which allows the building to exist in harmony with the natural environment while significantly reducing the sense of oppressing caused by the building on the city.
With the protection of the mountainous ecology in mind, the architects made the best use of the favorable conditions of the landscape, to create a more humanistic, comfortable and dweller-friendly residential quarter and living space.
