Jin Yuan, Xixi Li

This Project is part of Xixi Li Residential Development in Hangzhou.  Defined as New Water Town, the goal of this project is to create a unique living environment and meet contemporary lifestyle.

Design Principles:

1 Making Place for Daily Life.  The design of spaces, forms and details of this project is based on daily life activities to create a place that good for all ages.

2 Reflecting Local Culture.  The scale of site projects an industrial look that is far from the goal of this project. Learned from Chinese Tradition, the design redefines outdoor spaces by creating a clear space hierarchy, and connecting different spaces by landforms and diverse plants.

3 Ensuring Sustainability.  In urban areas, natural landscape is far more valuable than man-made structures.  The design minimizes the use of hardscape, giving more room to carefully planned green spaces in the community.
