The Hub Check-in Lounge

The HUB is the first parcel where is next to the transportation center, which is located in the heart of Shanghai Hongqiao central business district. It covers an area of about 62,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 380,000 square meters. The project is positioning as an integrated commercial building which collected office, shopping, dining, entertainment and exhibition. It will become the business and leisure landmark platform, which can supply service to the future office crowd of this area, as well as one-hour high-speed rail economic circle of 75 million people.

The Hub Check-in Lounge we designed, is located in the first floor of The HUB, it is the first pilot run remote check-in hall united with Hongqiao airport in China mainland. It provides a new travel concept to business people, and effectively extends the airport functions. People can take advantage of the blank time to go shopping or choose a better recreational environment without checking in and waiting long time in airport.

The interior of the lounge, we use “walking in the clouds” as the core design concept, with pure white color, combined modern decoration technology and advanced lighting technique to create a relaxed and unrestrained feeling of the space. We hope people can find a sense of stability in the noisy downtown and fast-paced life.
