Set on the new landmark of Nanjing, the Nanjing South Station, Holiday Inn South Station owns a sculptural façade that is inspired by the traditional Chinese ethos of ‘shanshui’. Complementing the architecture, the interior is inspired by the history and culture of Nanjing, who is renowned for historical landscapes, mountains and waters. The space and sophisticated details draw inspiration from natural landscape like surrounding mountains, meandering rivers and rich history of Nanjing, reinterpreting the concept of nature in a contemporary approach, while establishing the cohesiveness of concept and space. The space is contoured by simple lines while visual is enriched by the layers, and refined texture, details and art echo the beautiful natural landscape, crafting a poetic space that offers an aesthetic and tranquil experience.
