Project – sponge city landscape restoration in Huarun Community Zhenjiang

Based on the construction of sponge city, this project as a case study which shows the concept of sponge city in the community. This example combines landscape design and the concept of sponge city closely, it could be advise others widely.

Linking to the concept of sponge city and the community problems, the project builds entire rainwater management system, space system and traffic system, which reach the aim of ecological sponge community. the design of Huarun Community connect between the skills of rainwater collection and methods of landscape design. It was showed the collection process after restoration, it displays the harmony scenery of human and environment, and it reduces the construction influences and improves old community living environment. This restoration project will as a good case study of other redesign projects of intensive old community.
