China Railway Egret Art Center Chengdu

This project is a brand-new attempt in the mixed form design of urban commercial and residential areas. The high-rise residential buildings are arranged around the base, and the commercial buildings are arranged inside the base in a courtyard style. “Bashu culture” is integrated into the design to form the urban leisure and cultural blocks that conform to the residential concept of Chengdu’s old city. Based on the concept of “culture promotes commerce, commerce drives real estate, and real estate changes the environment”, the old city’s revival can not only improve the environmental quality， but also ensure the source of renovation funds and obtain opportunities for sustainable development. It also create a dramatic conflicts between modern and history culture and makes the culture of Chengdu’s northern city glow with new vitality here.
