Shanghai Zhuli Counrtyard
The project is located at the northern end of Zhujiajiao’s historical style area. By using the surrounding landscape and cultural resources, the architect arranges the buildings in the L-shape plot. A square using as a significant city node is put on the south side to create interesting space and enhance the image of the city block. The L-shaped building along the west side of the plot can provide artists a space to display and sell works. Meanwhile, the space can provide a platform for artists and the public to communicate. The rest of the plot is designed as a boutique studio, which can be used as an artist’s work area. By considering of privacy, the studios can provide quiet and free spaces for artists to create.
