Landscape Design of Phase II of the Pearl River Shimao Swan Bay Project
The project is located on Taigu Cang Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou, by the Pearl River. The project covers a total area of 13,000 square meters. The whole area will be kept for the future and features front row views of the Pearl River. This project is one of three major restoration projects of the Shimao Group in the Dawan district. The urban location, land endowment and the resulting scarce resources of the city undoubtedly increased the difficulty for the designer. The product positioning has been defined as the ‘New Modern Asia’ with the designer embracing the slogan ‘Enjoy the pinnacle of fashion on the banks of the Pearl River and experience original Lingnan culture and lifestyle’. In doing so he has combined the five defining elements of Guangzhou, namely mountains (Baiyun Mountain), water (Pearl River), stone (Rocks), theatre (Cantonese Opera) and silk (Silk Road), creating a three entryway and twelve landscapes’ royal garden.
