Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital
As the first LEED Gold international medical center in mainland China, Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital is an 8-acre campus that features a 15-story inpatient tower with 246 beds, as well as outpatient clinics, interventional suites and an emergency department. As views and access to nature are proven to speed healing, Jiahui Hospital was designed to be a ‘hospital within a garden’. The patient’s first impression is an entryway that is flanked by lush landscaping and features natural terracotta and glass. The architectural language utilizes soft edges – distinctive rounded corners and sculpted forms that are comforting and less clinical looking. The hospital also maximizes daylight and views of the central courtyard.
