Nanchang Xiangshan South Road Urban Infill Project

Sanyanjing District of Nanchang is one of historic neighborhoods that still maintains the old Nanchang City character, and was designated as a special preservation and regeneration zone in 2012, alongside with famous Tengwang Tower and Bayi Square. Centered to Xiangshan South Road, the overall redevelopment area is around 30,000 M2. Within those, the most exceptional area is the eastern parcel, where many historical sites such as Gang Theather, Wan’an Exam Center, Xiangchang East/West Alleys, Yuchang Academy, and Sanyanjing Park are located.
The redeveloped Sanyanjing district has become a new landmark destination and collective memory of Nanchang. This is not only because of its historic ambiance, but its pedestrian-friendly, human-scale retail environment with local stores, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and other small businesses that give the neighborhood an unique personality.
