Vanke Urban Community

The former factory house bears the memory of the struggle of several generations in Chengdu. Vanke Urban Community is also committed to recreating the life of the old Chengdu people, and adheres to the design concept of ‘interpreting tradition with modern interpretation’. We scattered modern shopping spaces in a single building and courtyard. The busy traffic on the outer street and the leisurelyness of the inner courtyard give the commercial space a different spiritual color. The material uses the current ceramic slab curtain wall system to respond to the red brick memory of the factory. The western Sichuan style roof tile and large-area stained glass curtain wall complement each other. Chengdu’s heavy traditional culture and today’s fashionable modern lifestyle have a direct dialogue.
