BEGONIA BAY SHOPPING ISLAND
[A Destination of Vacation and Shopping in the Nature] Begonia Bay Shopping Island is the first high-quality experiential commercial district in Sanya, a famous coastal tourist city in South China. Our design integrates the atmosphere of a tropical island and the characteristic of a commercial plaza to create a high light for this world-class tourist destination. The landscape is diverse, ecologically sensitive, artistic, and interactive – a healthy “Lohas Island” for both residents and tourists. Begonia Bay Shopping Island is a man-made island built for the Sanya International business district, located in the inland river facing a 800-meter-deep portion of Begonia Bay. The project covers an area of 68 acres on the 570-meter-long island, with a total construction area of 65,000 square meters, including 35,000 square meters above ground and 30,000 square meters underground. The island is connected to the coastal hotel area by a pedestrian Bridge.
