ZHOUSHAN GREENTOWN THE WILLOW SHORES

The project is located in Zhoushan, Zhejiang. Part of an ambitious integrated development, the project is set on an urbanized archipelago. Coastal views direct the architecture with three-to four-bedroom apartments capturing the outside through a wide expanse of windows, embracing a central garden, and responding intuitively to the landscape.
The construction of the skyline is considered the most important point in the design. It has to connect the entire Changzhi Island and link away from the city across the sea, having a design that not only has an interface that echoes the sea but also has an interface with the city.
The existing buildings on the island have already formed a certain sequence, so another key point of this case is to integrate with the existing buildings. Large-scale glasses and a brand-new concept of “aerial open floor” is introduced into the project, and the pioneer attempt of the north-hall interior layout gives it an ultimate sense of transparency.
