TUENKERS, TAICANG

Tuenkers New Industrial Manufacturing Base is located in the Industrial Park north of Taicang, Jiangsu. A modern factory with 22,000sqm consisting of an office building with 3-storeys and two workshops. The main functional areas in this project are divided into office buildings, exhibitions rooms, production workshops, restaurants, and warehouses. VIRTUARCH proposed realizing an elegant architectural form to replace the original dualistic and independent relation between office and production and create a new vertical and interactive one. A considerable challenge in this project was integrating an inspiring and inviting space for communication.
