“NEW MOON OVER THE PEARL RIVER” EXHIBITION CENTER
Located in the Huangpu District of Guangzhou, looking out over the Pearl River, the Living Museum aims to create a landmark for the Zhujiang Village redevelopment project that reflects both the cultural identity of the region and its futuristic feel.
Inspired by the crescent moon rising over the Pearl River, the architects wanted the Living Museum to symbolise the crescent moon of the Pearl River and to correspond with it and shine. At the same time, the pavilion is inextricably linked to the local history and culture, so the dragon boat culture of the Pearl River village was extracted into the design. As the saying goes,”Pearl River new moon, so dream of looking for a dragon”.
