XINHU PARADISE WALK

Xinhu Paradise Walk is a 110,000 sqm retail-led, mixed-use development bringing a new community asset to Suzhou Industrial Park – the 288 square kilometre zone of China-Singapore bilateral cooperation in Suzhou, China. Sitting between Qianjiang Lake and Yangchang Lake, the design has been influenced by its natural surroundings to create an urban living room. The vision for the scheme was to activate the opportunities across the two water-facing plots and create a new urban destination to serve the surrounding population of residents and workers. The design revolves around a large open-air space that has been carved out along the waterfront edge, creating a generous landscaped public realm at the heart of the development. Twin pedestrian bridges connect the scheme at both ends, bringing a pedestrian-friendly design to deliver walkability and convenience for visitors.
