MEDTRONIC (CHENGDU) INNOVATION CENTER

Medtronic (Chengdu) Innovation Center is medtronic’s second innovation center in China and a multidisciplinary clinical training and communication platform in central and western China. In order to echo the environment of the site, the whole building uses a simple concept of “concave and convex” to form a posture of outward and inward collection in space. The concept of organic life in the atrium of the building provides a vertical circulation channel for free communication, connecting the three floors and meeting the needs of various groups of people. The facade of the building uses grey bricks representing the traditional architectural vocabulary and metal skin echoing the sense of modern science and technology, and uses glass to connect the two different texture expressions, creating a transparent and affinity space.
