CHINA ENTERPRISE RIVERFRONT WISDOM PLAZA, SHANGHAI

Wisdom plaza is located along the riverside of the Huangpu River in the core commercial and trade area of Shanghai East Bund, adjacent to the Oriental Fisherman’s Wharf and facing the Minsheng Wharf, the largest riverside cultural port along the Huangpu River. The project is an office complex integrating office, culture & leisure and commercial facilities. The design combines the long-shaped building originally occupying the whole plot into the one with a greater volume and located at end of the plot. HPP transplants the facade of the original building to the new one, redesigning the column and layout with the modulus of facade. The office building is located on the old plant in an approximate proportion and forms a harmonious whole in combination. Two setbacks along the street are designed for the centre tower through two minor rotational deformations, reducing the sunshine shade to the north residential area. The three-stage tower derived from deformation shows a distinctive image.
