This Joy City transformed a vast obsolete project into dazzling icon is this premium riverfront location of Changsha. At 140,000sm in GFA, it’s one of the largest shopping center renovation project ever been completely overhauled from inside out.
Our design team takes a thoughtful but constrained approach to solve the complex design problems. The design takes the inspiration from nearby XiangJiang River, and the existing limestone cladding, carefully introduced new facade elements to create contrasting interplay of material and texture, while keeping some existing extravagant architecture characteristics. End result is timeless architectural composition, bringing fresh energy and new vibe into this once empty project. Now truly a joyful place and North Star sits in this dynamic metropolis.
