REVIVING CANAL LIFE-YANGZHOU DEEP DIVE GRAND CANAL CENTER
Yangzhou, as the intersection of China’s land and sea Silk Road and a transit point for material exchange between China and foreign countries, is always home to enabling water conditions and aquatic sports have long been on the rise. Renaissance Canal as a modern aquatic sports center is the starting point of design. The project is located in Taiping reach and the water surface is still and straight. It is very suitable for carrying out water rowing. The main functions of Yangzhou Deep Dive Grand Canal Center include sports business school, accommodation facilities, rowing center, outdoor camp, etc. The main purpose of the planning is to make rational use of the regional layout, make full use of the current topography, reconstruct the elements of the water village and revive the life of the canal. The flower, mountain, boat, field, village, river and other natural elements will be reorganized to reproduce a Peach Blossom Garden, a place for physical and mental health.
