JIANGXI ACADEMY OF PAINTING ART MUSEUM IN JINGDEZHEN

The project is located in the center of the old city of Jingdezhen. After thousands of years of porcelain culture, the site has formed a characteristic street texture with the kiln as the core. The exterior wall is the most intuitive embodiment of architectural memory and style, so the design retains the exterior wall of Jianguo Porcelain Factory intact. The space is limited by the scale of the old factory building, so one floor is dug down, and the underground space is used as the storage area for collections. The volume of the entrance is increased as the front area of the art museum. On the second floor, some exhibition halls are built to improve the function. The newly added volume of the second layer adopts gradual colored glazed glass. The gradual colored glaze creates a hazy glaze color change, which is as crystal clear and beautiful as freshly fired ceramics.
