NEW BUND 31 – PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

NEW BUND 31 is a mixed-use, transit-oriented development located at Qiantan in the Shanghai Pudong New Area, comprised of offices, hotel, retail spaces and a performing arts center. At the east portion of the site, the performing arts center houses a concert hall, a multifunctional black box theater, four rehearsal halls, and supporting facilities distributed through B1-5F. The building’s organic form reflects the project’s overall design concept of creating a modern cultural and community hub. Within the building itself, the audience, VIP guests and staff has separate circulation to provide maximum user experience. The concert hall has a capacity of 2500 seats on three levels, equipped reconfigurable seating and a mechanical platform on the main level to provide various types of configurations to accommodate different needs, and a LED backdrop on stage, together with other facilities the performing arts center will become one of the largest professional performance arena in Shanghai.
