This cutting-edge renovation and extension project has created a day-out destination for visiting families, with new indoor and outdoor areas and leisure attractions, befitting how we like to shop and relax today. The internal structure has been altered to include a food atrium including new restaurants and a dining layout. The interiors now ‘bring the outside in,’ with the addition of an island oasis in the centre of the mall to include a water feature, water sound effects and planting. What once was a car park is being transformed into a landscaped park, conjuring up the atmosphere of a botanical garden with around one hundred different species of plants and trees. Attractions for families include water jets, a pirate ship play area and climbing walls resembling natural rock formations. Restaurant terraces and seating areas will be available, with retractable coverage from the sun.
