Nestled in the first development zone of Shanghai West Bund Financial Hub, STATION 1907 is a mixed-use complex weaving commercial, residential, cultural, and recreational features into a living entity. The design stems from revitalizing the historic “Nanpu Railway Station’s Eight-line Warehouse and Platform.” Incorporating the adaptive reuse of industrial heritage into an open community concept establishes a space where the city’s cultural celebrations interact and coexist with its public liveliness. The design strengthens and expands the site’s distinctive spatial configuration by preserving and transforming the historic structures. Rich programs and vibrant activities encircle a delightful garden. The building’s dynamic roof shape, intricate façade materials, and exquisite structural technique converge to unfold a cohesive fabric of past and present narratives.
