ZHEJIANG UNIVERSITY “TWO INSTITUTES” IN QUZHOU

Zhejiang University “Two Institutes” in Quzhou (Zhejiang University Quzhou Research Institute and Quzhou Branch of the College of Engineering) project is in the education town of Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, focusing on chemical industry, energy, materials, biomedicine, and other industry. The whole site is divided into the south Zone – research and experimental area; the North Zone – academic buildings, living area and the central square. The central axis connects the riverfront landscape with the campus green space, continuing the urban landscape axis. The studio seeks a dynamic link between the natural waterfront landscape and the urban educational complex: the unbounded layout of the building community creates a rich interaction with the surrounding area; the ecology of campus, like the growth of trees, has been forming/adopting a better ecological place for work, communication, and life.
