Changsha Jinmao Meixi Lake Mall of Splendor

In the design of Changsha Jinmao Meixi Lake Mall of Splendor, CallisonRTKL strived to maximize the collection of a variety of merchandise in one, making full use of the landscape resources, and pay attention to the relation between architecture and the site, promoting the value of each function. To deal with the unique topography, CallisonRTKL treated B1 level as the first level directly connected to the subway. Through indoor and outdoor two moving lines, the design creates a rich variety of features such as shopping experience, canals, fountain and water stage, and introduces them to the indoor and outdoor venues, and guides customers from the northwest corner of the subway entrance to Meixi Lake shore. Through a combination of careful layout, circulation organization, landscape and waterscape, and the diversification of the business combination, the project breaks through the traditional shopping center, and becomes a comprehensive, waterfront community center experience. ” Sand Crystals of Xiang River ” is the concept of the elevation design. It suggests the eroded forms of the towers and base as the iconic historical remnants of the flows of the Xiang River.
