Place of Light, Poly, Beijing

The ‘Tao’ said by Laozi is the real ‘Tao’. It means to live according to the real world and to change according to the specific circumstances.
We trace the footprint of the aesthetics both at home and abroad, from which we find that in the course of pursuing beauty, we always soften the sharpness, reduce the complexity, and finally integrate it with the real world. When we look at the pursuit during the Wei and Jin Dynasties, namely ‘the blossoms of the lotus are more beautiful than the artificial works’, or when we examine the literati taste of the Northern Song Dynasty, namely ‘roughness’, ‘nature’, and ‘plainness’, or even when we scan the ‘silence’ regarded as the perfection in Japan, we can find they all comply with that truth without fail. Picasso once said, ‘I can draw as well as Raphael at the age of 14, but I use my whole life to learn how to draw like a child.’
