Yango / Hangzhou Tanyue Mansion

Sunshine City · Tan Yue is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The project is based on the aesthetics of the Song Dynasty and the trend of modern oriental style, abandoning the symbols of traditional China and preserving the serenity and emptiness of oriental aesthetics. The space show the beauty of order from the East in a flexible way. The design language and the use of material show the combination of the physics, artistic conception and the mood. The design reflects both the philosophy of Confucius and the spirit of oriental poetry, expressing the value of traditional culture in a modern way. Particularly, we take three kinds of material from Hangzhou, including the bamboo elements from West Lake silk umbrella, the texture of grey wood and wired glass. It is regarded as an experiment which using indoor material out of doors.
